Martin America's Guitar Limited Edition 175th Anniversary (2008)

 
 

Dreadnought body. Beautiful Adirondack spruce top with ageing toner. Scalloped and forward shifted Adirondack spruce braces. Exquisite Madagascar rosewood back and sides. Black ebony bridge and fingerboard. All gloss finish on body.

Fine Herringbone top inlay. Long drop in bone saddle. 1 ¾” bone nut. Scale ~ 25.4”. Modified V select hardwood neck with special abalone diamonds and squares bordered in M.O.P. Polished ebony headstock faceplate, inlaid with C.F. Martin logo in script (1833-2008) and America’s Guitar. The back of the head stock is stamped “C.F. Martin Nazareth PA”.

Hawaiian Koa body bindings and heel cap. Beveled and polished tortoise color pick guard. Waverly nickel tuning machines with Butterbean Knobs.

Two interior paper labels. One with “America’s Guitar” No. 159 of 175” and the other with a photo of Chris Martin, his wife and daughter.

Geib style TKL case with deep red lining. Lid exterior has embroidered 175th Anniversary Banner logo.
This one of the finest sounding Martin guitars I have ever played- new or old. The tone is rich, sweet and warm and it’s a cannon. The understated features complement the sound.
