Very nice condition. Spruce top, extremly curly maple back and sides.
All original finish.This instrument is one of two known that were thought
to be Custom orders.The other is pictured in the Gruhn book.
Circa approx. 1905. Refretted to about 12th fret with slightly larger frets.
The celluloid is missing from one of the body points and one has a piece
of white plastic instead of the original ivoroid. It has low action and
a really warm full rich sound. The reddish color finish on the back and sides
brings out the curl in the maple.
Original hardshell case with red lining in excellent condition.
This is a personal instrument and I am looking to trade only,
for a 14 fret 00 or 000 Martin from the late 1930's to 1944.
(Must have 1 11/16" nut and scalloped braces.)
